Hadrian’s Hotel and its Willow Restaurant have gained incredibly positive reviews from guests and diners since opening earlier this year.
Combining a gastropub, destination restaurant and boutique, cosy accommodation – Hadrian’s Hotel aims to offer a relaxed, homely atmosphere inspired by traditional British pubs and complete with open fires and wooden interiors.
The hotel’s restaurant, Willow, serves a seasonal tasting menu Wednesday to Saturday alongside a traditional Sunday lunch, which is served every Sunday until 4pm. Meanwhile, the gastropub offers a more casual menu of snacks and classic pub dishes.
The venue – which was formerly home to Michelin-starred Hjem – is fronted by Alice Lawson and Jack Brown, who co-owns Nest and Flight in Heaton, while Alice and Jack also recently took over The Northumberland Arms in Felton.

The prize is to be taken within one year of the competition closing date, and your visit is to be arranged directly with the team at Hadrian’s Hotel (dates subject to availability).
