Gosforth enoteca Carruthers & Kent has several events coming up, celebrating wines and winemakers from around the world.
Hamish Bredin will be hosting A Taste of Andalucia – With an Angel from the Heavens on Wednesday May 7. The Gonzalez Byass bodega is an institution in the wine world providing sherries, fortifieds and table wines, and Hamish will be in Gosforth to share seven of his favourite tipples along with Andalucian snacks. The event starts at 7pm and tickets are £30 each.
On Thursday May 15, Greig Wilson will be exploring six wines from the Dutch family Axial Vinos – renowned for their commitment to sustainability. There will also be a small Spanish plate by Dottie in the Kitchen. The event starts at 7pm and tickets are £35 each.
Meanwhile, Adam Michoki will discuss Polish and central European wines on Thursday May 22. Founder of Central Wines, Adam is returning to Carruthers & Kent following incredibly popular events in the past. The event starts at 7pm and tickets are £25 each.
Finally, the Carruthers & Kent Winter Wine Fair will take place at Wylam Brewery on Sunday November 2 – bringing together more than 100 wines to try with friends in spectacular surroundings. Tickets will go on sale in the summer.
