Shark Club, situated in Sandman Signature Newcastle Hotel, has reopened after a five-week renovation.
Opened in 2011 and located on the former site of Scottish & Newcastle Brewery opposite St James’ Park, the venue has been renovated to create a welcoming and relaxed place to enjoy live sporting events with great food and drink.
Following significant investment, the venue now provides a lighter interior, a new bar and an improved layout allowing for better views of the big screens.
The new interior is accompanied by a new food and cocktail menu featuring a cheese burger pizza, a variety of smash burgers, and a Philly steak sandwich. The venue’s famous chicken wings offering has also been expanded.
Pat Farrell, Shark Club’s food & beverage director, said: “Shark Club has always been about providing the ultimate sports bar experience. Newcastle was our first venue in the UK, and it has been a huge hit with patrons from near and far for the last 13 years. We wanted to invest in Newcastle to ensure our guests continue to get the best sports bar experience in the North East. We have made a major update to our food and cocktail menu that we think will surprise and delight our long-time fans and new audiences with tasty ideas like bar bites and smash burgers. Whatever the 2024 sporting calendar brings – we’re ready for it.”
