Newcastle’s Big River Bakery has launched a week of events to celebrate the stottie cake – and there’s a lot to get involved in.
Created by the team at Big River Bakery – a community bakery and social enterprise in Shieldfield – the week-long celebration will take place February 12-18.
Events include a fee live stream stottie cake bake; online and in-person creative writing workshops with Jane Burn; a Community Celebration Party; guided walks and tours; and the chance to meet Scotty the Stottie in and around Newcastle.
