Anarchy Brewery is throwing open its doors to foodies, music lovers and Christmas shoppers for a free event celebrating the very best of Tyneside produce, crafts and entertainment on Friday December 13.
A group of some 20 stallholders have signed up to take part in the night market – which is being held in support of West End Food Bank and will take place 5-11pm – selling everything from loose leaf tea to art, plants and perfumes.
The child- and dog-friendly market will also include live music from Rise DJ Anth Holder and the chance to grab something to eat – including vegan and vegetarian dishes – from street food vendors The Big Banh and Lucca Pizza Co.
Among the stallholders taking part are Anarchy’s Heaton-based sister company Dot Bagel, Big Fat Donut Company, Tyne Chease, and Balefire Sauce.
There will also be a range of bakes from The Little Cakery by the Sea, scotch eggs from The Yolker, vegan pasties and pastries from Smashin Pasties, and loose tea from Love Leaf Tea.
There will also be crochet and macramé, candles, jewellery, art, plants, clothing and more on sale from local businesses.
Scott Nendick, taproom manager at Anarchy Brewery, said: “We’re proud to be a Tyneside brewery and this night market is a chance to showcase other fantastic Tyneside products. So, whether you’re looking for some great food, want to snap up some really unusual gifts that you can’t get on the high street or if you just want a fun night out in a fantastic, family friendly environment, I’d urge you to come along and celebrate and support small, local businesses.”
Vendors have all agreed to donate a percentage of their profits from the event to the West End Food Bank and made donations in lieu of a stall fee. There will also be a collection point for visitors to drop off donations.
