Knaresborough-based Turning Point Brew Co is heading north to Newcastle on November 9 to host a one-off beer tour taking in seven venues, 34 beers, and two tap takeovers.
“Having spent the last year slinging Turning Point Beer into my local area from my home in Middlesborough and beyond, it felt right to bring an event up to the North East. That started as a spark in my mind and became one of the biggest events we have ever done,” said Turning Point Brew Co’s northern sales representative Sophie Deacy.
Having celebrated its seventh birthday this year, the brewery has partnered with Sir John Fitzgerald and Crafted Projects to visit seven of Newcastle’s most renowned and historic venues – The Bodega, Gunner Tavern (full tap takeover), The Bridge, Crown Posada (full tap takeover), Fitzgerald’s, The Bacchus and Lady Grey’s.
Beers being served as part of the event will include everything from barrel-aged imperial stouts to lager, sours in cask, hazy IPAs, and a specially brewed beer that will launch on the day – Tyne & Space, a triple-hopped pale ale with Topaz, Citra and Galaxy hops.
As part of the event, there’s rewards for anyone who has a drink in every venue – and there’s also a guided lunchtime tour which starts at 12.30pm at The Bodega (ticket holders only).
