SIX Rooftop at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art has launched a monthly seasonal supper club offering nostalgic flavours with a fine dining touch.
The two AA Rosette and Michelin Guide-listed riverside restaurant is inviting diners on a journey through the decades with monthly, seasonally themed menus.
Each one-night-only event will feature a unique six-course menu curated by chef director Greg Lambert, drawing on childhood memories and classic summer experiences, all reimagined with fine dining flair.
The supper club schedule includes A Trip to the Seaside on Friday June 20. A celebration of the Great British coastline, the menu features an elevated selection of fish and seafood favourites. There are seaside snacks including a crab Cornetto, cheese and pineapple, and a Scotch egg – followed by soused mackerel roll-mop and kombu broth; a lobster roll; and roast halibut with a Full Circle Pale Ale-battered langoustine, rosti potato chips and smoked mussel mayo.
On July 25, The Summer of ’69 will bring together the American backyard summer cookout and fine-dining nostalgia. On August 29, Holiday Camp promises to roll back the years to Britain’s golden age of holiday camps – infused with a touch of Riviera glamour. On September 26, Back to School promises to give school dinners the gourmet treatment – expect caviar and crisps, smiley faces with beans, and old-school cake with pink custard reinvented for grown-up palates.
Each six-course menu is priced at £60 per person. An optional drinks pairing is available and is priced from £35 per person.
“SIX’s seasonal supper club menus are a nostalgic nod to memories of those fun trips out with the family from the summers of yesteryear,” said Greg. “Each menu is designed to bring a little joy, surprise and storytelling to the table.”
