Ingredients
  • 4x250g Butler's Steaks
  • 20ml olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh parsley
  • ¼ tsp chopped fresh rosemary
  • ½ tsp chopped fresh thyme
  • 200 ml Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 1 tsp of ELSCo Classic Rub
Method
  1. Place the steaks inside a large re-sealable bag.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the olive oil, garlic, parsley, rosemary, thyme, Cabernet and seasoning.
  3. Pour over the steak in the bag.
  4. Press out as much air as you can and seal the bag.
  5. Marinate in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
  6. Heat a non-stick skillet or pan over medium-high heat.
  7. Fry the steak in the hot skillet for 3-4 mins on each side for medium rare, or to how you prefer it cooked.
  8. Discard the marinade.
  9. These steaks taste best at medium rare.
  10. Allow them to rest for about 10 mins before serving.
  11. Serve with chunky chips, side salad or creamy mash... and enjoy!
