Two Northumberland businesses were honoured with national awards at VisitEngland’s Awards for Excellence.
The Tempus, just off the A1 near Alnwick, won Small Hotel of the Year, while The Kirkstyle Inn and Sportsman’s Rest in Slaggyford was crowned Pub of the Year.
Meanwhile, Ad Gefrin Anglo-Saxon Museum and Whisky Distillery in Wooler won silver in the Small Visitor Attraction of the Year category after being crowned Best New Tourism Business in 2025, and Newcastle’s Blackfriars Restaurant earned a bronze in the Taste of England Award.
