Sandwich Jam – the North East’s first festival celebrating the power of sandwiches – is set to take place at Summerhill Bowling Club in Newcastle on Sunday August 30.
Created by Chris Coulter from Belly Of The Beast, the event will celebrate the shift from soggy lunchtime embarrassments to mealtime heroes to be enjoyed morning, noon and night.
Some of the region’s finest sandwich slingers will be selling their signature sandwiches at the event. There will also be a fully stocked bar, a sandwich-themed cocktail menu created by Newcastle Cocktail Kitchen, the Charity Bake Sale of Dreams, ice cream, activities for children, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space to relax – while the whole day will be soundtracked by Slack’s Radio.
