Seaham Hall’s Damian Broom set to cook at Lord Crewe Arms

Lord Crewe Arms, Blanchland is set to host its second Taste Of The North East chefs table event on April 28 – with Seaham Hall’s Damian Broom cooking his four-course menu for the one night only event.

Damian, executive chef at Seaham Hall, will be presenting his unique menu focusing on ingredient-led, regional plates with an emphasis on flavour. He will be using traditional and modern cooking methods while utilising the region’s wild plants, herbs, berries, and a selection of pickles and preserves.

Prior to his time at Seaham Hall, Damian worked at The Oakley Court in Windsor, The Idle Rocks Hotel in Cornwall, Danesfield House Hotel and Spa in Buckinghamshire, and The Old Vicarage Hotel & Restaurant in Worfield.

Only 16 seats are available in the intimate setting of Lord Crewe Arms’ private dining area, The Gatehouse, for the event – with 75% of the proceeds set to be donated to charity. Tickets are £75 per person for the four-course meal, complemented by a glass of English sparkling wine on arrival and coffee to conclude the evening. Recommended wine pairings will also be available.
