Anarchy Brewery launches low alcohol beer to support regional charity

Anarchy Brewery x Red Sky Foundation beer

Anarchy Brewery Co – based at Benfield Business Park, Newcastle – has launched its first low alcohol beer, Placebo Effect.

Each can will feature the logo of heart health charity Red Sky Foundation – with a donation from each can sold going to the organisation.

Red Sky Foundation has raised more than £2million to support children and adults in need of cardiac care, which has been spent on buying life-saving equipment for the NHS along with placing defibrillators in key locations around the region – including Anarchy’s brewery and tap room.

“We are delighted to be able to work with Red Sky Foundation and support the amazing work it does,” said Dawn Miles from Anarchy. “They are the perfect partner for Placebo Effect, which is the ideal option for anyone wanting great tasting beer but with lower alcohol. It is a huge asset for us – as a popular venue as well as a brewery – to have a defibrillator on site and to have had the training which Red Sky Foundation provides so our team knows how to use it.”

Sergio Pettruci, founder of Red Sky Foundation, said: “We’re delighted our latest partnership with Anarchy Brewery is being celebrated with the launch of a specially crafted low alcohol beer. The collaboration will help us raise awareness and vital funds for our mission to save lives and fight heart disease across the region. It will also help us fund more projects making a positive impact on cardiac health. I’m really looking forward to seeing Placebo Effect on sale in shops, being served in bars, and being enjoyed by drinkers knowingly supporting Red Sky Foundation.”

Anarchy is involved in a range of collaborations, including one with performer Andrew Cushin, which has been launched to coincide with the release of his new album. L.I.F.E (Love is for Everyone) – which is also the name of the beer – features the album artwork on the can as well as a QR code from which his music can be ordered.
