Region’s best honoured at the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards

Winners of the annual Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards were announced at London Hilton, Park Lane – including some of the region’s best restaurants and chefs.

The Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA) celebrate Pan Asian cuisine in the UK, with winners and nominees from across the industry joined by guests including Elma Pazar, Ella Wise, Harriet Mae Blackmore, Lacey Martin, Hayley Palmer, Paige Chohan and Seema Jaiswal.

Among the winners were My Delhi Newcastle – the Streetfood Restaurant of the Year – and overall Champion of Champions Nu Delhi Restaurant Lounge in Belfast. The regional prizes for the North East were won by Soho Tavern in Gateshead (North East Restaurant of the Year) and Jolsha in Middlesbrough (North East Chef of the Year).
