The latest NE1 Newcastle Restaurant Week has broken all the event’s records. Dry January, Veganuary and Brexit didn’t dent the enthusiasm of diners and tens of thousands of people ate out for £10 and £15 a head at some of the city’s top restaurants. The event delivered an economic boost to the local economy of more than £600,000, with 112 restaurants taking part January 21-27 and more than 45,000 vouchers downloaded from NE1’s Get into Newcastle website. That’s a lot of breakfasts, brunches, lunches and dinners!
