The team behind Tomahawk Steakhouse and RIO Brazilian Steakhouse is expanding its culinary portfolio with the launch of a new Spanish restaurant concept.
The new venture, La Terraza, is set to open on Tuesday October 21 and will bring authentic Spanish flavours and vibrant dining culture to Yarm. The new venue will take over the unused upper floor of the Tomahawk Steakhouse in the town.
Building on the success and reputation of the Tomahawk Steakhouse chain, Tom Sturman, director and co-founder of Tomahawk Steakhouse, is excited to introduce the new concept that embraces the spirit of Spain through a carefully curated menu of traditional tapas, signature lunch and dinner dishes, a Spanish-led wine list, Sangria, and expertly crafted cocktails – with free-flowing Tapas every Sunday noon-4pm.
“We are excited to introduce this fresh concept to Yarm that celebrates the art of tapas while maintaining the quality and service Tomahawk guests expect,” said Tom. “Our new Spanish restaurant concept will bring a warm, edgy, and effortlessly cool dining destination to the town. Our ethos is all about creating inviting atmospheres where people can connect over delicious food and great drinks. The decision to transform the unused floor has proven to be the perfect spot and comes complete with an outdoor terrace.”
The ground floor restaurant will remain as Tomahawk Steakhouse, and La Terraza will run independently with a new team led by general manager Sebastian Carracedo.
“I’ve really enjoyed infusing a sprinkling of my Spanish roots into the venue and we can’t wait to open and welcome guests,” said Sebastian. “La Terraza will be the destination to gather, explore and savour the rich, bold flavours of Spain.”
