NE1 Newcastle Restaurant Week may be over for another January, but more foodie offers are coming to Newcastle every Tuesday with the return of NE1’s Lunch Club.
More than 20 venues are signed up and ready to relaunch NE1 Lunch Club from January 27 – with lunchtime meals on offer every Tuesday 11am-2pm for just £7.50 or £10 per person.
Among the newcomers for 2026 are Flight Club and Sorcerer Coffee – which will join established favourites Olive & Bean, Acropolis, MEAT:STACK, and many more.
NE1 launched the Lunch Club in September 2025 to help support midweek lunchtime trade for city centre businesses. The scheme aims to encourage city-goers to head into town on Tuesdays, ditch the sad salad and visit their favourite local venue or try new ones knowing that they are getting a great deal they can’t get any other time of the week.
Rachel Fenwick, head of marketing & events at NE1 said: “We launched NE1 Lunch Club in September last year after hearing from local, independent businesses that midweek lunchtime trade would welcome some support. We came up with the idea to encourage city centre workers to leave their lunchboxes at home on Tuesdays, support local businesses and enjoy some really high-quality food at a great price.
“Lunch Club provides a great excuse to ditch the al-desko dining and experience all the city’s lunchtime venues have to offer. Encourage your friends and co-workers to get out and enjoy delicious food at fantastic value, or even take a moment for yourself with a solo dining session. Visit the website, explore the offers and book in.”
Caitlin Summerson, operations manager at Olive and Bean, added: “We loved taking part in Lunch Club when it launched last September and we’re delighted to be gearing up for its return. This initiative is a great way to boost business and remind people what’s available throughout the week. It really has given us a weekly boost since joining the scheme. Since the lunch club began, we have had an increasing amount of customers visit to redeem the deal and it’s great to see people coming back each week too.”
