Matfen Hall has received two prestigious awards from The AA – retaining its position as the first and only AA five-star hotel in Northumberland and earning 3 AA Rosettes for its fine-dining restaurant, The Emerald.
The hotel retained the five-star rating it earned for the first time in 2024, while adding the Rosettes for The Emerald – which is led by head chef Eddie Saint and head pastry chef Laurèns le Gal.
