Healthy appetite: Battle of the bulge

Healthy1
Surprise, folks…a new survey of 1,000 women reveals that 65% of women consider themselves to be overweight, 10% fail their diet after just 24 hours, 27% have put on weight while trying to diet and, randomly, women in Aberdeen and Norwich spend the most time on a diet (I have no stats for us in the North East, so maybe we have a more healthy outlook than they do…).

These figures come from one of those home-delivery ready-meal companies, which also claims that more than a third of us are going on a diet after Christmas and one in six of us will fall off it within a week.

Well, bully for them…everyone knows diets don’t work long-term because they just put your body into starvation mode, hence, you just pile it all back on when you eat normally again. Its why the diet industry is worth so much money. We say, enjoy good food, as un-processed as possible, and eat in moderation, like these Quark recipes. That’s why we at appetite HQ are so sylph-like (honest!).
