Newcastle Wine Week is set to make its debut this summer – offering the chance to explore the city’s vibrant wine scene from June 20-29.
The celebration of wine is being hosted by Leah Newman of Newcastle-based wine retail and events company Whispering Wine, and supported by Newcastle Wine School owner and Appetite’s wine expert David Harker.
As part of the event, wine enthusiasts will be able to purchase a Newcastle Wine Week wristband at www.newcastlewineweek.co.uk giving them 50% off a handpicked selection of wines at some of Newcastle’s finest venues.
Celebrated restaurants including House of Tides, St. Vincent and The French Quarter are among the venues which have collaborated with Leah to create the Newcastle Wine Week List. Also taking part are Victor Indigo November, Carruthers & Kent, Cavavin, Jesmond Dene House, and Dobson & Parnell. For a full list of venues, click here.
“This is about making great wine more accessible and celebrating the brilliant hospitality scene we have in Newcastle,” said Leah. “We want to shine a light on the diversity of wine culture in Newcastle while highlighting the positive progression of current wine offerings in the city. The wristband allows people to explore new tastes and old favourites at a fraction of the cost.”
