The brilliant Barrio Comida, which had a stint on the Quayside in Newcastle in 2016/17, has found a new permanent home in Durham city.
Led by chef Shaun Hurrell, the restaurant, basement bar and patio will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday-Saturday and for brunch on Sundays. The food and drink is heavily influenced by Mexican flavours with a focus on tacos, and there is also La Mesa at Barrio Comida, featuring a communal table for 16 people and four counter seats in front of the kitchen.
