There’s plenty to get your teeth into across the North East this autumn – with fresh flavours, grand openings, and exciting new menus to check out.
First up, Morpeth welcomed Savoy by Le Raaj with an incredible opening night. Building on Le Raaj’s well-earned reputation for refined Indian food, Savoy adds a touch of modern glamour to the market town’s dining scene. Expect elegant plating and a menu that balances the comfort of familiar curries with contemporary specials.
Meanwhile, over in Heaton – where the food scene is rapidly on the rise – we got to sample the new taster menu at Hide ahead of its launch. Designed to take diners on a culinary journey in just a few flavour clues, it’s the kind of menu in which each course feels like a work of art. The chilled atmosphere and friendly staff make this the perfect place for a date night or when you fancy something a bit special.
Finally, The White Swan in Dinnington – already famous for its epic Sunday dinners – seriously, the pork and its crackling are incredible – has upped its game with a brand-new bar snacks menu. Think chicken wings, lamb koftas and loads more picky bits – all perfect for kicking back in the lounge area with a few drinks and grazing away on an autumnal afternoon.
