Restaurant Pine in Northumberland has launched a new midweek short menu designed to offer guests a distilled experience of the Michaelin-starred restaurant.
The new short-form menu created by chefs Cal Byerley and Ian Waller showcases the restaurant’s culinary creativity and deep-rooted connection to the land. Each dish celebrates seasonal produce, much of which is grown in Pine’s own kitchen garden or sourced from trusted local partners such as Wilde Farm and Gilchester Organics.
At just over half the size of Pine’s full tasting menu, the short-from menu is designed to fit perfectly into a midweek evening. It can be enjoyed in just a couple of hours and is available for Wednesday and Thursday dinner services – with an optional wine pairing curated by Pine’s multi-award-winning restaurant manager and head sommelier Vanessa Stoltz.
For those seeking a more leisurely dining experience, Pine’s Saturday Lunch Menu offers a sophisticated start to the weekend at £95 per person, while the Full Dinner Tasting Menu, available Wednesday to Saturday, provides the ultimate immersion into Pine’s culinary world at £165 per person. Guests wishing to get closer to the action can also book the Chef’s Table Experience, priced at £195 per person, for an evening of insight, creativity and interaction with the chefs.
Sian Byerley, operations manager at Pine, said: “We wanted to create something that captures the essence of Pine but fits more easily into people’s midweek lives. Our new short menu gives guests a true flavour of what we do, our connection to our surroundings, our commitment to quality, and our creativity in the kitchen, while offering a more accessible and time-friendly way to dine with us.”
