The team at Guest wines is celebrating the best of British wine this month with Welsh Wine Week taking place June 2-11 and English Wine Week set for June 17-25.
English Wine Week highlights English wines and their wide availability across the country through retail outlets – from supermarkets to independent wine merchants and online from expert suppliers such as Guest Wines – as well as hotels, pubs, bars and restaurants. Vineyards also open their doors to welcome visitors – offering tours, tastings, special offers and many other attractions during the event.
As part of the celebrations, Guest Wines is focussing on some of the UK’s most innovative and interesting vineyards with a fantastic selection of wines from England and Wales available on the website – including the Lyme Bay Sandbar Bacchus 2021 from Devon (£16.95), an intense, aromatic wine with tropicality, minerality, and characteristic English hedgerow flavour; and Anchor Hill’s orange wine from Monmouthshire in Wales (£24.80), a deep and savoury wine with nectarine, tangerine and lifted herbal notes.
