The excellent Staith House, North Shields has been named Best Food Pub of the Year at the Great British Pub Awards. Run by MasterChef: The Professionals finalist John Calton, his wife Kimberley Calton, and James Laffan, the pub was paraised for its use of locally sourced meat, fish and produce.
