The North East Hotels Association’s Excellence Awards recognised the stars of the industry and the best places to stay in the region.
More than 400 guests attended the event at the Federation Brewery in Gateshead – with Ben Watson from Hotel Indigo Newcastle picking up the culinary excellence award sponsored by Crosbys Catering.
Meanwhile, hotels and individuals from across the region were honoured in categories including warmest welcome, best newcomer, and excellence in sales, service, cleanliness and leadership.
“Our industry has faced unparalleled challenges in recent years, but what we saw at the Excellence Awards was an incredible testament to the adaptability and creativity of the people who make hospitality in the North East truly world-class,” said NEHA co-chair Anna Wadcock, general manager of Maldron Hotel Newcastle.
