Two of Newcastle’s boutique hotels have launched new spring menus. Malmaison, located on the Quayside, is welcoming food lovers with exclusive offers, while nearby Hotel du Vin is set to launch its Late Spring Menu.
Diners at Malmaison can enjoy a taste of summer with a Mediterranean Tasting Experience in Chez Mal created in collaboration with Spanish brand Gin Mare and.
Priced at £69pp, diners are welcomed with Gordal olives, before a starter of serrano ham and grilled red peppers paired with a Mediterranean gin and tonic. This is followed by a main course of tiger prawns, white crab and fennel pastis linguine, served with a Gin Mare mojito, before the meal ends with a lemon sorbet paired with an Amalfi Spritz.
Meanwhile, Hotel du Vin, located just a short walk from the Quayside, is launching its Late Spring Menu on Wednesday May 6.
The menu of seasonal flavours and refined dishes is designed for spring evenings and al fresco dining, and begins with a selection of Amuse-Bouches and Hors D’Oeuvres – with favourites such as Jambon Persille, Rilletes de Saumon and Langoustines a la Provencale.
Main courses include Entrecôte au Poivre, Poussin Basquaise and Croupe d’Agneau Épicée, while desserts include favourites like Creme Brulee, Valrhona Pot de Chocolat and Tarte au Citron.
