Newcastle has been named Britain’s best city for craft beer following research into the number of independent breweries (per capita), the number of awards won by each city’s independent breweries last year, and the number of pubs and drinking establishments in craft beer searches on TripAdvisor (per capita).
Newcastle led the 10-strong list as Canterbury was placed second. Meanwhile, Durham was sixth in the list, which was compiled by rental business Independent Cottages.
