Michelin Guide recommended eatery NEST on Newcastle’s Chillingham Road are celebrating their fifth birthday next month, and they’re hosting a weekend of special dining events to celebrate.
From Thursday 13–Saturday 15 August diners can choose from a special birthday à la carte menu (4.30pm–5.45pm Thursday, 12pm–2.30pm Friday & Saturday) which features delights like tomato and watermelon gazpacho and ham croquettes with anchovy mayo to start, main dishes like BBQ lamb shanks and buttered mash or herring, veg remoulade and fish cracker and delectable desserts like piña colada birthday cake and pineapple sorbet or a crowd-pleasing sticky toffee pudding nd vanilla ice cream.
An exclusive tasting menu is also available from 7pm Thursday–Saturday, with 8 courses featuring the likes of steak with lobster hollandaise and mega fries, Hawaiian sweet roll with wild boar sausage and Lindisfarne oysters, elderflower champagne and peach granita (a vegetarian tasting menu is also available).
