The Vaulkhard Group has announced plans to open a Cuban-inspired restaurant in Newcastle.
Castro’s will offer Latin-inspired food, drink, and cocktails on Hood Street (formerly Beeronomy). Food and drink will be served indoors and outdoors, and the bar will be home to the North East’s largest rum selection. The food menu will follow a Cuban theme, with twists from its neighbouring Caribbean islands and South America.
Castro’s will also feature a hidden secret bar which will host salsa dance classes, rum sessions, cocktail masterclasses, and a private booking area.
