Go get ‘em, Rebecca…

North East Young Chef of the Year Rebecca Jackson is all set to represent the region in the Young National Chef of the Year Final at The Restaurant Show in London.

Rebecca, a junior sous chef at Leila Lily’s in Newcastle, won the North East Young Chef of the Year hosted by NECTA in 2019 with a dish of guinea fowl galantine, brandy-soaked Ulster cherries, fondant potatoes, wild mushrooms, chard, sweetcorn and a cherry chicken jus. The final is part of the new Hospitality Unites week in September. The winner will be anounced on September 30.
