Newcastle restaurant Blackfriars is set to welcome the summer and officially open its new Cloister Garden with a pair of special events on May 5 & 7.
The first of this summer’s BBQ garden parties on Friday May 5 will be the first chance to enjoy a special event in the new al fresco dining and drinking space in the heart of the city. With heated parasols, fire pits, ambient festoon lighting and beautiful planting – there’s space to enjoy the sunshine and the best barbecue food, drinks and live music.
On Sunday May 7, the Cloister Garden hog roast event will serve up seasonal starters, spit-roast pork with pork fat potatoes, fire-roasted seasonal vegetables and gravy – all rounded off with seasonal desserts and coffee.
