The team at Café Beam, Gosforth is back in full swing. Run by North East-based charity Smile for Life, the café offers work placements to young people with learning difficulties and disabilities, helping them into the world of work. The dog-friendly café/bistro serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea Tues-Fri 9am-4pm and Sat 9.30am-3.30pm, as well as ice cream from Minchella.
