The Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards took place in London in October, with some of the best places to eat in the country recognised with awards.
Often described as the Oscars of the British Asian restaurant industry, the event recognised one of the North East’s favourites, My Delhi – which has venues in Newcastle and Sunderland. The team took home the Best Restaurant in the North East accolade as well as the Champion of Champions award, which was chosen from the regional winners.
