Nicholsons Butchers is aiming to help hosts serve up something special with the launch of its new entertaining range.
The range from the Whitley Bay butcher, which has been serving the local community since 1914, brings together freshly prepared platters, homemade savouries, salads, sides and baked goods which are all made in-house. From sandwich platters and pies to quiches, sausage rolls, Scotch eggs, scones, salads and homecooked hams, the range has been created for customers who want to feed a crowd with ease.
The range includes mixed sandwich platters serving 12, with fillings such as ham and pease pudding, beef and mustard, tuna mayo, egg mayo, chicken tikka, prawn mayo, and cheese savoury. Customers can also order pies and quiches – with pies including mince, corned beef, ham and egg, and cheese and onion while quiches include ham, cheese and tomato; chorizo, feta and red onion; brie, smoked bacon and onion; and roasted vegetable.
The homemade pies, sausage rolls, Scotch eggs, and honey and mustard mini sausages offer easy sharing options while salads and sides include coleslaw, spicy coleslaw, cheese savoury, potato salad with capers and gherkins, roasted vegetable cous cous, pesto pasta, Greek salad, a mixed green salad, and pease pudding.
The range also features homemade cheese, cherry, fruit and plain scones as well as whole, half and quarter hams in roasted, honey roast, and marmalade options.
Nicholsons Butchers owner Kathryn Meadows said: “Spring is when people naturally start to gather again. Customers can mix and match items depending on the size and style of their event, with cutlery, plates, napkins and sauces also available on request.
