Gosforth enoteca Carruthers & Kent is set to host several high-quality wine events in the coming months.

Tickets (£30 each) are now on sale for the Carruthers & Kent Winter Wine Fair, which will take place at Wylam Brewery on Sunday November 2 from 2-5.30pm and will bring together more than 100 wines to try with friends in spectacular surroundings.

On Thursday October 2, the team will be exploring wines produced by the Antinori family – who have been involved in winemaking for more than six centuries. Twenty-six generations hailing from Tuscany have produced wines including the first Super Tuscan, Tignanello. The tasting starts at 7pm and tickets are £30 each.

On Thursday October 23, Richard Kelley, the man behind the Liberator Wines project, will be in Gosforth to discuss his work buying small parcels of grapes from around South Africa and “liberating” them in limited-edition bottlings. The tasting starts at 7pm and tickets are £30 each.

On Thursday November 13, Greig Wilson will be hosting a Champagne and Fish and Chips event exploring the Mandois Champagne range and offering the chance to end the night with a glass of Mandois Brut alongside some fish and chips. The event starts at 7pm and tickets are £55 each.

To book tickets for events, email info@carruthersandkent.com, call 0191 213 1818, or pop into the enoteca.
