Following a recent inspection, boutique Northumberland country hotel Walwick Hall has been awarded four Silver Stars, and two Rosettes for its food, by The AA.
The AA says: “Highly Recommended Silver Stars are awarded to hotels that provide superior levels of quality; high standards of hotel keeping in particular hospitality, service and cleanliness; and hold an AA Rosette award for the quality of their food.”
Located in the heart of Northumberland, just outside Hexham, Walwick Hall has 10 individually designed bedrooms, a luxury spa, and multiple dining areas.
Two rosettes are given to “the best local restaurants, which aim for and achieve: higher standards; better consistency; greater precision; and obvious attention to the selection of quality ingredients.”
Rachel Harrison, director of Walwick Estate Group, said: “This is a huge achievement for the group and I am immensely proud of the Walwick Hall team. Walwick Hall is truly a world away from the norm and I am pleased it is being recognised for this. Our team works extremely hard, put a great deal of pride into what they do, and it shows.”
