Tynemouth Food Festival to return May 11-12

Tynemouth Food Festival is set to return to the spectacular setting of Tynemouth Priory and Castle on Saturday May 11 and Sunday May 12 – with tickets on sale now.

Some of the region’s best street food vendors and pop-up bars, local market traders, live music and family entertainment are lined up for the North Tyneside Council-organised event, which will run from 10am until 5pm each day.

Street food traders lined up for the event already include Smokey Joes, Lucca Pizza, Spud Gun Loaded Fries, Doughvine Desserts, Fat Hippo, FlipnFast, Tandoori Naan Hut, Big Fat Indian Kitchen, Fire & Dough, Redheads Mac n Cheese, Parm-O-Rama, Copper Ricebox, Acropolis, Jam Jar, Vegetali, Hatch 76, Goodtimes Tacos, Chilli Padi Go Go Go, Di Meo’s, and North Shore Coffee. There’ll also be bars run by Gin & Tonia, Quaff Box Ltd, and Anarchy Brew Co – plus a busy market with traders from across the region.

There will also be lots of space to sit and listen to live music from local musicians, and some great activities for children including cooking classes with Fun Little Foodies, craft and messy play sessions with ARTventurers, family yoga classes with Shore Yoga, face painting, drop-in sports activities, and recycling crafty fun.

Advance tickets are available now from www.seetickets.com and are priced at £4 for adults (plus booking fee), guaranteeing entry on the day. Children aged 15 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.
