Top chefs lined up for ThirdBite event in Newcastle

A group of the UK’s best chefs are heading to Newcastle on July 19 for the ThirdBite charity event in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Twenty Michelin-starred and world-renowned chefs will create elevated streetfood dishes at Wylam Brewery in Exhibition Park.

The full lineup includes Cal Byerley (Pine), Ian Waller (Pine), Gareth Ward (Ynyshir), Adam Handling (The Frog), Paul Burgalieres (L’Enclume), Chet Sharma (Bibi), James Knappett (Kitchen Table), Tom Shepherd (Upstairs by Tom Shepherd) and Josh Angus (HIDE).

They will be joined by Mark Donald (The Glenturret), Johnnie Crowe (St Barts), Jean Delport (Interlude), Lisa Goodwin-Allen (Northcote), David Taylor (Grace & Savour), Paul Leonard (Forest Side), Rafael Cagali (Daterra), Jack Bond (The Cottage in the Wood), Roberta Hall (Little Chartroom), Jake Jones (The Forge at Middleton Lodge) and Stuart Ralston (Lyla).

Each of the chefs will serve 500 portions of their take on streetfood, and entry to the event is free. Dish tokens are priced at £10 each and are available now at www.3rdbitefestival.co.uk

Alongside the food, local DJs will provide entertainment throughout the day, while an online auction will feature a range of exclusive foodie experiences and prizes.

New for 2026, the team is launching an exclusive VIP package. Privately seated among the brewery tanks inside Wylam Brewery, tables of 10 guests will enjoy drinks, including the limited-edition From the Pass collaboration beer, as well as the opportunity to pre-order five streetfood dishes each.
All proceeds from ThirdBite 2026 will be donated to Cancer Research UK, supporting more than 4,000 researchers, clinicians and nurses working to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.
