The region’s best venues have been listed in the 2024 edition of the Michelin Guide, with the finest restaurants rewarded with highly coveted Michelin Star ratings.
Newcastle-based Kenny Atkinson appears in the guide twice, with both House of Tides and Solstice earning one-star ratings. Meanwhile, Hjem and Pine in Northumberland retained their one-star ratings, with Pine also holding on to its Michelin Green Star.
Meanwhile, Newcastle’s Broad Chare and Ponteland’s Haveli retained their Bib Gourmand distinctions, which recognise restaurants offering great quality and great value cooking.
Elsewhere, The Ledbury in London became the ninth three-star restaurant in Great Britain and Ireland; six new two-star ratings were awarded, including the UK’s first two two-star Indian restaurants; and six new Michelin Green Stars were presented.
