A Sunderland restaurant has been voted Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year at the Nation’s Curry Awards.
Yuvraaj, at Douro Terrace, took first place at the event in Manchester, beating venues from across the UK.
Judges were impressed with the venue’s extensive menu, which offers new twists on Indian favourites as well as Bengali specials and signature dishes.
Owner Monie Hussain said: “We couldn’t believe it when they said we had won. It not only reflects on the restaurant, but on Sunderland as a whole – we really have some amazing places to eat in the city.”
