One of our favourite art galleries, Balman Gallery in Corbridge, has opened a café, where this speciality caffe crema – an espresso topped with whipped Italian ice cream (£2.95) – is all the persuasion we need to drop by.
There are also homemade cakes, salads, scones, paninis, breakfasts, brunches and lunches and it’s open seven days a week from 10am.
