Gosforth restaurant Osters is offering diners the chance to enjoy high-quality food for less.
At selected times of the week, the team at the Michelin Guide-listed restaurant is offering a set menu alongside the à la carte. The new menu includes exactly the same dishes with no difference in portion size or quality of ingredients, skill or presentation. Each of the seasonal starters, main courses and desserts have appeared or currently feature on the à la carte menu.
“The thinking behind it is perfectly simple,” said chef patron Kleo Tabaku, who also owns Lovage in Jesmond. “Everyone should have the chance to eat the best quality food, even if their budget wouldn’t normally run to it.”
The set menu, which costs £25 for two courses and £30 for three, is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays 5-9pm, Fridays 5-5.45pm, Saturdays noon-2pm, and Sundays 5-5.45pm.
