Open all hours – Kennedy and Rhind launches new menu and extends opening hours

Artisan bakery Kennedy and Rhind has announced new, longer opening hours as well as a new menu.

The Holly Avenue West, Jesmond bakery, licensed café and shop is now open seven days a week. Meanwhile, the menu features new breakfast items including roasted squash and feta potato cake, shakshuka, baked French toast, Murray’s honey granola, and merguez, tomato and onion stew.

Diners can also enjoy braised duck confit with braised red cabbage, Northumbrian game, and market fishcakes served with tomato and onion stew as part of the new-look brunch menu.

The venue will also continue to serve a selection of freshly baked pies, pastries and cakes along with everchanging weekly specials.

Chef David Kennedy, who runs the café with baker Murray Rhind, said: “We’re always looking for new ingredients and dishes to shake up the menu and the new opening hours seemed like a great opportunity to revamp our offering. We’ve worked hard to make sure our new menu includes only the best dishes with the finest ingredients, and we have handpicked some great wines and beers to serve with them. The decision to extend our hours to seven days a week is a great next step for the business.”
