The former On the Corner café on Ilfracombe Gardens, Whitley Bay, is now Meet Me On The Corner café-bistro, brought to us by Laura Campbell of the brilliant gluten-free bakery Baked with Love by Laura and her husband Kris, a chef who has worked in some of Newcastle’s leading hotels and restaurants. Opening weekend was so busy they had to stop serving and they’ve been busy ever since serving up breakfast and brunch, lunch, cakes and sweet treats. There’s a good range of vegan and gluten-free options and the owners source their ingredients from local suppliers.
