Artisan bakery Kennedy and Rhind, at Jesmond’s Holly Ave West, has launched a new menu and extended its opening hours.
Following the introduction of a new breakfast menu, co-owners David Kennedy and Murray Rhind will be extending their café’s opening hours after successfully applying for an alcohol license.
The café, which is currently open from 8am to 4pm, Wednesday to Sunday, will expand to seven days a week from mid-September, with plans to open for evenings later this month.
Until the new opening hours take effect, diners can enjoy a selection of new breakfast dishes, including courgette and feta potato cake, wild mushrooms on toasted sourdough, baked French toast, and roasted pepper, tomato, olive and fried eggs. Meanwhile, the brunch menu features steak, eggs and fries, croque monsieur, harissa salmon with fine beans and pickled cucumber, or a salad of broad beans, green beans, mozzarella, mint and chilli.
