Congratulations to Indian street food pioneer Dabbawal, which has beaten off major national competition to retain the Best Casual Dining in the UK accolade at the British Curry Awards.
The award recognises Dabbawal’s bold menu choices, eye-catching branding and pioneering street food concept inspired by the famous Dabbawalas of Mumbai. The group, with restaurants in High Bridge, Newcastle, Jesmond, and By The River Brew Co on Gateshead quayside, was the only North East restaurant to be shortlisted.
