The new dessert tea house specialises in drinks, ice creams and cakes made with matcha green tea powder. You may know its owners Charles Tang and Robert Lao from their popular restaurant Chilli Padi on Leazes Park Road, and the new outlet is a franchise partnership with matcha powder TSUJIRI, which was founded in 1860.
The matcha powder used at TSUJIR is sourced from Kyoto in Japan and is said to be rich in antioxidants. As well as the food and desserts at the café, you can buy teas and accessories here too.
