Tynemouth’s Longsands Fish Kitchen has been named among the top three fish and chip shops in the UK, just 15 months since chef Simon Walsh – our very own columnist – opened the doors.
Very much more than ‘just’ a fish and chipper (though it does the UK’s favourite seaside dish very well indeed) Longsands has made it to the final three in the 2017 National Fish and Chip Awards organised by Seafish and Simon and the team will be frying for glory in the race to bag the Best Newcomer Award in the New Year.
