Staith House, North Shields, owners John Calton, Kimberley Calton and Jimmy Laffan have now opened a new casual dining kitchen, Route, on The Side, Newcastle, serving up John and Jimmy’s flavourful and unfussy seasonal British food. Assuming it is as good as The Staith House, it promises much.
