North East-based Durham Distillery has been awarded silver medals at the 2021 World Gin Awards and London Spirit Competition for its cask-aged gin.
Commenting on the awards, managing director Jon Chadwick said: “We are delighted to win both awards, which demonstrate our commitment to producing high quality and innovative brands. The cask-aged gin sector is still relatively new, but is another opportunity to offer a wider choice to the increasing number of consumers that now enjoy drinking quality craft gins”
Durham Cask Aged Gin is aged in American Bourbon and Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks, providing toasted vanilla and oaky notes, with a smooth finish.
